Canthidium (Neocanthidium) taurinum Harold, 1867 View in CoL
Canthidium taurinum Harold, 1867b: 71 View in CoL [here transferred to the subgenus Neocanthidium View in CoL ]. Type locality: Brazil: Minas Gerais: São João del-Rei (“San João del Rey”). Type material: Holotype female (MNHN—ex Germar collection, via Harold and Schaum collections). Distribution: Brazil: Minas Gerais ( Harold 1867b) [for some unknown reason, Martínez & Halffter (1986a) considered this species an endemic to São Paulo state in Brazil, even though its type locality is in Minas Gerais].
