For the most recent accounts of this genus in Thai waters see Bruce and Olesen (2002) and Rodcharoen et al (2014, 2016); Bruce and Wong (2015) and Sidabalok (2013) while not dealing with the Thai isopod fauna give a useful indication of the genera and species diversity that can be expected in the region. Diagnoses to Cirolana have been given most recently Brusca et al. (1995), Kensley and Schotte (1989).
