Description. Male: length: 17.0–18.0 mm, humeral width: 4.6–5.0 mm. Female: length: 19.0–22.0 mm, humeral width: 5.8–7.0 mm. Body black, reddish brown on tarsal claws, red on prothorax and elytra. Head, antennae and scutellum black. Ventral surface including legs black with sparse and short gray pubescence. Head finely and sparsely punctured. Lower eyelobes much (male) or slightly (female) longer than genae. Antennae moderately stout, longer (male) or slightly shorter (female) than body, basal 6 antennomeres fringed beneath; antennomere ratio: male: 15 3 30 25 19 17 17 15 15 13 16; female: 16 4 32 26 20 16 15 1 12 9 13. Prothorax much broader than long, basal part and apical part both distinctly constricted, raised on median line posteriorly with a node before base, with some irregular tubercles. Elytra finely and densely punctured, with 3 unconspicuous longitudinal ridges on each disc. Male genitalia ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 4 – 5 ): Tegmen length about 3.4 mm; lateral lobes slender and long, slightly narrower apically, each about 0.9 mm long, with dense and long setae apical half; with very short roof; ringed part elbowed in the widest portion, converging; basal piece bifurcated distally; median lobe with median struts slightly curved, a little shorter than tegmen (33:34); former shorter than latter; dorsal plate slightly shorter than ventral plate; ventral edge of median orifice rounded; median foramen elongated, broadly rounded apically; internal sac moderately long, with 2 pairs of basal armatures and 3 rods, two long rods about 1.4 mm while the middle one about 1.2 mm, shorter than tegmen. Ejaculatory duct single. Female genitalia ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 4 – 5 ): Setae of sternite 7–8 not extending beyond apex. Spermatheca simple and small, only 1.4 mm for a 22 mm long adult. Tignum very long, longer than abdomen in ventral view. Tignum 10.5 mm for an adult with a 9.0 mm long abdomen in ventral view.

Type specimen examined. Holotype: female, Vietnam, Tonkin ( MNHN, ex Coll. M. Pic).

Fusheng Huang ( IZAS); 1 female, Xizang, Bomi, Tongmai, alt. 2103–2143m, (N30×04.557-06.172', E95×04.820–07.384', 2005. VII.29), coll. Zhishun Song ( IZAS); 1 male, Xizang, Mêdog, 1300m, 1950. VII.7, coll. Gentao Jin & Jianyi Wu ( IZAS). India: 1 male, Naga Hills ( MHNL, ex collection P. Lepesme); 1 male, Naga Hills ( MNHN, ex Coll. R. Oberth¸r, 1952); 1 female, Assam ( MHNL, ex collection P. Lepesme).

Distribution. China: Xizang; Vietnam, India.
