Genus Abaxisotima Gorochov, 2005

Type species: Abaxisotima furca ( Gorochov, 2002) .

Diagnosis

Male

Fastigium verticis with weak and short inflation at hind part. Tegmen protruding beyond apex of posterior femur or not. Left tegmen of male with stridulatory vein stout, a semicircular cell and additional longitudinal vein near stridulatory area in more distal portion of this area; right tegmen of male with rounded mirror, as well as large mirror-like transparent cell and additional longitudinal vein. All femora with one or two spines on genicular lobe. Male subgenital plate with apical lobes widely separated. Usually male genitalia bear a pair of sac-like semi-sclerotized structures provided with numerous small spinules.

Key to Chinese species of the genus Abaxisotima Gorochov (based on males)

2. Distal portion of cercus conical, inner branch originates behind middle of cercus.................................................................. 3 Distal portion of cercus widened, lateral margins curled upwards, armed with spinules along margins; inner branch originates before middle of cercus, slightly s-shaped, apex tapered.................... A. macrocaudata sp. nov.

3. Apex of cercus acute, inner branch with apex hook-shaped; tegmina extending to apex of posterior femora................. A. furca (Gorochov and Kang) Apex of cercus comparatively blunt, inner branch long, slightly s-shaped, apex acute; tegmina not extending to apex of posterior femora................................................................. A. spiniforma Wang and Shi

4. Pronotum with lower half of lateral lobe darkened. Tegmina with light green stripe along anterior edge, remaining area brown or brownish green. Cercus with a fine subapical spine................. A. bicolor (Liu, Zheng and Xia) Pronotum with lateral lobe almost uniform, not darkened. Tegmina yellowish green with some dark spots. Cercus without any subapical spine........... 5

5. Cercus long, reaching apex of subgenital plate, cylindrical, widened before apex, apex with a pair of sclerotized forcipate spines.......................................................................... A. forcipiforma sp. nov. Cercus shorter, not reaching apex of subgenital plate, apex with acute spine................................................................... 6

6. Tegmen length about 27.0 mm. Apex of cercus with short acute spine. Subgenital plate with deep notch on posterior margin, lateral lobe longer than half subgenital plate.................... A. multipunctata (Kang and Yang) Tegmen length about 23.0 mm. Apex of cercus with long acute spine. Subgenital plate with shallow notch on posterior margin, lateral lobe shorter than half subgenital plate..................... A. brevifissa (Wang and Liu)
