Etymology. The new species is named in honour of Dr. Roman Godunko (State Museum of Natural History, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lviv), friend and colleague of the authors.

Description. Mature nymph. Body length 3.6–5 mm; cerci length 5–6 mm. Abdominal tergites and sternites yellowish-brown to light brown, without visible pattern ( Figs 1, 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ).

Head. Yellowish-brown to brown. Antennae yellow, somewhat lighter than head or the same ( Figs 1, 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Surface of head covered with stout setae and short thin setae ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ). Occipital tubercles absent. Antennae 1.3 times head width, flagellum with 16–17 segments. Outer margin of head fringed with a row of short, forked setae from fore edge of eyes to labrum ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Dorsal part of male eyes brown—dark brown ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ).

Mouthparts. Labrum wide (approximately 2.5 times wider than long), slightly concave in central part of anterior margin ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 5 – 9 ), which is covered with numerous hair-like setae forked at apex. Long hair-like setae in an irregular transversal row on dorsal surface.

Mandibles slender with one long hair-like seta in middle of outer margin and few (up to 10) shorter setae in proximal half of margin ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 5 – 9 ). Outer incisors of both mandibles with three teeth, inner incisor (kinetodontium) with two teeth. Right mandible with a tuft of relatively long hair-like setae under the mola and a bunch on fine setae above it, left mandible without such setae; both prostheca made of short fine setae.

Maxillae typical for the genus, maxillary palp reduced to a single protuberance with one hair-like seta ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ). Outer margin of maxilla with irregular row of long hair-like setae (about five setae) below the reduced maxillary palp. Maxillae with a well-developed canine, two indented dentisetae and three long inner setae at apex ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 5 – 9 ). Group of 13–16 long hair-like setae situated near the base of canina. Middle part of inner margin of maxilla with one long and few (up to 4) somewhat shorter pointed setae with feathered margins.

Hypopharynx with long feathered setae on the rounded apexes of superlinguae and very short setae on lingua ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 5 – 9 ).

Labium with glossae and paraglossae short and broad, rounded apically, their apexes densely covered with feathered setae, outer margins of paraglossae covered with the same setae. Paraglossae somewhat broader than glossae ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 5 – 9 ). Labial palp three-segmented, slightly constricted towards apex; articulation between segments I and II clearly visible; segment III elongated, 2.1–2.2 times as long as wide at base ( Figs 8 View FIGURES 5 – 9 , 11 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ). Outer margins of segments I and II covered with irregular sparse row of long hair-like setae; segment III with small solitary setae only. Submentum well developed laterally.

Thorax. Pronotum and mesonotum with six and two small flat protuberances respectively. Outer margin with regular row of forked stout setae ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ); whip-like stout setae at outer margin of forewing pads additionally present. Surface of pronotum and mesonotum covered with small fine and stout setae.

Forefemur moderately dilated, ca. 1.8 times longer than wide; outer margin covered by regular row of long stout setae ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 17 – 21 ). This row begins on dorsal surface, but does not meet the transverse row of long and pointed stout setae located across dorsal surface of femora ( Figs 17, 18 View FIGURES 17 – 21 ). Inner margin of femora covered by elongated pointed stout setae; this row begins on dorsal surface too. Dorsal surface of femora covered with stout setae in centre and near outer margin ( Fig. 19 View FIGURES 17 – 21 ). Thin setae (solitary and in bunches) present on surface and on outer and inner margins of femora ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 17 – 21 ). Fore tibia dorsal surface with regular row of long hair-like stout setae; inner margin with solitary pointed stout setae, outer margin and surface with solitary and bunches of middle-sized thin setae. Fore tarsal claw hooked, bearing four blunt teeth medially and one inner pointed tooth subapically; apex of claw with 3–5 thin setae laterally ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 17 – 21 ).

Middle and hind femora similar, more slender, ca. 2 times longer than wide. Outer and inner margins covered with row of long pointed stout setae; inner row begins on dorsal surface. Thin setae (solitary and in bunches) present on surface and on outer and inner margins. Surface of femora covered with stout setae in centre and near outer margin. Outer margin and surface of tibiae with regular row of long pointed stout setae; inner margin with solitary pointed stout setae and middle-sized thin setae. Solitary and bunches of middle-sized thin setae presented at surface and margins of tibiae and tarsus. Tarsal claws hooked, bearing five blunt teeth medially, subapical tooth absent; apex of claws with 3–4 thin setae laterally ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 17 – 21 ).

Abdomen. All tergites with median tubercles; moderately developed on segments I and X, more developed on segments V–IX ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ). Posterolateral projections slightly marked on segments VI–XI, absent on segments I–V.

Gills on segments II–V; gill II with dorsal lamella operculate, oval and with entire margin; gills III–V with dorsal lamella incised medially ( Figs 22–24 View FIGURES 22 – 24 ).

Cerci length somewhat longer than body length, mainly with hair-like and forked stout setae; setae subequal to the length of corresponding segment. Paracercus absent.

Setation of abdomen: All median tubercles densely covered with rounded apically stout setae with oval or divergent margins ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ).

Tergites I–III: surface covered with solitary short thin setae; posterior margin with a regular row of narrow, slender, pointed teeth, long hair-like setae and forked stout setae.

Tergites IV–VI: lateral parts covered with short and middle-sized hair-like setae, elongated forked stout setae and stout setae with feathered apex or margins ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ); central part of tergites covered with short thin setae and apically rounded stout setae with oval or divergent margins; posterior margin with a regular row of narrow, slender, pointed teeth, long pointed stout setae and forked robust stout setae ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ).

Tergites VII–X: entire surface covered with apically rounded stout setae with oval or divergent margins (only in lateral parts of segment VII elongated stout setae with subparallel or slightly divergent margins additionally present) ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ); posterior margin of tergites VII–IX with a regular row of narrow, slender, pointed teeth, short thin setae and apically rounded stout setae with oval or divergent margins ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ). Posterior margin of tergite X without stout setae.

Winged stages: unknown.
