Replaced synonym of: Urtica alienata L. (1767) , nom. illeg.

Lectotype (Wadhwa in Dassanayake & Clayton, Revised Handb. Fl. Ceylon 13: 269. 1999): Herb. Hermann 3: 5, No. 371 (BM-000621805) .

Current name: Pouzolzia zeylanica (L.) Benn. ( Urticaceae ).

Note: Bhopal & Chaudhri (in Pakistan Syst. 1(2): 48. 1977) indicated unspecified material in LINN as the holotype but there is no material there that can be associated with this name.
