Material examined. Holotype ♂: [ U.S.A.], Florida, [Dade Co.], Paradise Key, II (=Feb.), Brooks col. ( MCZH, #30807). Allotype ♀: [ U.S.A.], Florida, [Dade Co.], Paradise Key, II (=Feb.), Brooks col. ( MCZH). New material: DOM[INICAN] REP[ UBLIC], 2 ♂, Sierra de Bahoruco, Alcoard km 25, montane dry forest, 18.I.1989, L. Masner col. ( CNCI), 1 ♂, Pedernales, 26 km N Cabo Rojo, evergreen dry for[est], 730m, 3.XII.1991, L. Masner col. ( CNCI).

Diagnosis. MALE ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 36 – 50. 36 – 42 ). Almost black. Mandible with five apical teeth ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 36 – 50. 36 – 42 ). Clypeus with angulate median lobe. Antennal scrobe carinate from torulus to inner margin of eye. Frons coriaceous. Vertex slightly convex. Pronotal disc with anterior corner rounded; anterior carina evident; median carina absent; lateral margin not carinate, but acute; posterior margin not paralleled by series of foveae. Scutellar pit transverse. Mesopleuron with subtegular groove sinuous; anterior fovea subrounded; upper fovea elliptical; lower fovea with upper margin absent ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 36 – 50. 36 – 42 ). Genitalia ( Figs 46, 47 View FIGURES 36 – 50. 36 – 42 ): paramere evenly wide, apex rounded, dorsal and ventral margins straight; cuspis deeply divided into two arms, dorsal arm shorter and wider than ventral arm, cuspis apex not aligned with paramere apex; aedeagus bottle-shaped, apex not touching cuspis apex, rounded apex, rising from second basal fourth, basal margin straight, apical half distinctly narrower than basal half; base of apodeme dilated and directed outward; ventral surface with conspicuous projection ventrad, and medially hairy.

FEMALE ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 36 – 50. 36 – 42 ). Almost black. Mandible with five apical teeth ( Fig. 49 View FIGURES 36 – 50. 36 – 42 ). Clypeus with angulate median lobe. Antennal scrobe not carinate. Frons coriaceous. Vertex convex. Pronotal disc with anterior corner not angulate; anterior carina evenly arched forward; median carina absent; lateral margin not carinate; posterior margin not paralleled by series of foveae. Scutellar pit transverse. Propodeal disc with posterior corner not foveolate. Mesopleuron with subtegular groove narrowing posterad; anterior fovea rounded; upper fovea elliptical; lower fovea with upper margin absent ( Fig. 50 View FIGURES 36 – 50. 36 – 42 ).
