Macrobrachium faustinum (De Saussure, 1857) View in CoL

This species was found in calm pools between riffles in Dorothea, Mahogany Run, and Neltjeberg ghuts, from 20 to +20 metres above sea level. This shrimp has been reported previously from St. Thomas, St. Croix, and Puerto Rico ( Beatty 1968; Chase and Hobbs 1969; Nemeth et al. 2007; Pérez-Reyes et al. 2013). It was uncommon compared to M. crenulatum and seemed to occupy a similar habitat within the pools.
