The type locality for this species is Puerto Rico. It has been reported also from St. Croix and St. Thomas ( Barber 1939), and as far as Peru and Brazil ( Truxal 1953). It was found in the water hazards at the Herman E. Moore Golf Course on the University of the Virgin Islands campus, where it was co-occurring with the previous two species.
