This species was previously reported from Mexico, Aruba, Bonaire, Blanquilla, Cuba, Curaçao, Marie-Galante, Puerto Rico and St. Martin ( Nieser 1967; Naranjo et al. 2010). We present the first record of this species from the Virgin Islands. Our material comes from St. Thomas, collected from brackish pools at Red Hook Salt Pond and in the Mangroves at Magens Beach.
