Larvae were found in bromeliad phytotelmata ( Billbergia pryamidalis ) at the Etelman Observatory. Three species in the genus have been reported from nearby Puerto Rico ( Maldonado Capriles and Navarro 1967). This is a new record for the US Virgin Islands.
