Remarks.
Junior homonym of Melanopsis scalaris Gassies, 1856. Pallary (1916: 83) introduced Melanopsis limbata as replacement name. Wenz (1929: 2741) considered the taxon as a junior synonym of Melanopsis haueri Handmann, 1882.
