Redescription. Male. Integument dark brown. Body with predominance of brownish pubescence. Whitishyellow pubescence covers four small comma-like spots on the anterior margin and one on each side of the middle on the posterior margin; a longitudinal fascia in the middle of the scutellum; and a large fascia covering the apical sutural third of the elytra. Antennae and legs with sparse brownish pubescence. Ventral surface covered with grayish pubescence. Antennae exceeding elytral apices at the middle of segment 6.

Prothorax with lateral tubercles acute; pronotum with a row of fine punctures on posterior margin. Elytra rounded at sides, gradually decreasing to apex; finely and moderately densely punctate on entire surface; apices rounded. Fifth urotergite and urosternite with apical margin truncated.

Female. Antennae exceeding elytral apices at apex of segment 8. Fifth urotergite narrowly rounded, with a feeble median notch at the apex; fifth urosternite truncated on the apical margin.

Measurements (mm) male/female. Total length, 5.7–6.0/5.3–6.4; prothorax length, 1.0–1.1/1.0–1.1; prothorax width, 2.0–20/2.0–2.2; elytral length, 4.2–4.4/4.2–4.5; humeral width, 2.3–2.4/2.3–2.4.

Remarks. Widely distributed in the Neotropical Region, from Mexico (Jalisco) to Panama, Ecuador, French Guiana, Brazil (Amazonas, Rondônia, Espírito Santo, São Paulo), and Bolivia. We add new country records from Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, and Peru.
