This is a widespread species, occurring in several countries of western, central and HDVWHUQ $IULFD, DQG DOVR UHSRUWHG IURP 0DGDJDVFDU (0DQVHOO ƻθθϭ;:KLWH & *RRGJHU 2009). It is predominantly associated with Cucurbitaceae , but with a few additional rearing records from non-cucurbits, such as tomato and 3DVVLÀRUD. Males are attracted to cue-lure.

Material examined: COMOROS: Grande Comore: ϭƃ 0 RURQL, ƻ9.LLL.ƻθθ4, LQ D FXH ‒ OXUH WUDS; 4ƃ,WVDQGUD, 5.ix.2004, in a cue-lure trap .
