Schrottky, 1912: 271 (http://hol.osu.edu/spmInfo.html?id=MZSP%20000053) Lectotype: ♂ ‘17.644 [ Brazil, Minas Gerais, Mar de Espanha, vi.1908, Zikán col.] ’. Paralectotype: 1♀ ‘17.644 [same data as lectotype]’. Current status: Megommation insigne (Smith, 1853). Comments : Lectotype designated by Gonçalves & Santos (2010: 60).
