Diagnosis. The species is characterized by its swollen gonostylus with the strong apical tooth located on a dorsal lobe, 2–3 flagellate setae on inner side of the gonostylus; gonocoxite with a mastoid intercoxal lobe that bears 2–4 setae; tegmen trapezoidal and apically truncate, parameral apodeme strongly sclerotized on lateral sides to apical margin, and also forming a central strip; maxillary palps 3-segmented, basal segment with 1 seta ( Rudzinski, 2006).
