Steganacarus (Steganacarus) vestitus Niedbała, 1983 View in CoL

( Figs 4 View FIGURE 4. A, B . C, D)

Measurements of one of specimens. Prodorsum: length 429, height 151, setae: interlamellar 495, lamellar 76, rostral 167; notogaster: length 798, height 485 setae: c 1 505, c 2 454, c 3 495.

The specimens are of similar size as specimen from Uganda ( Niedbała 1983)

Remarks. All characters in both specimens are as in holotype, except:

- rostral setae are much longer - longer setae d 1, d 2, e 2

- only lyrifissures ia and im visible

This confirms the previous suggestion of the senior author ( Niedbała 2001) that Steganacarus (Steganacarus) complicatus Mahunka, 1993 may be conspecific with Steganacarus (Steganacarus) vestitus Niedbała, 1983 . It is possible that morphological difference between these and the other two species, Steganacarus (Steganacarus) sol Balogh, 1958 and Steganacarus (Steganacarus) werneri Mahunka, 1983 , folls within a subspecific variability.
