Acinipe Rambur, 1838 , Faune ent. Andal Orth., 2: 12–94 Type-species: Acinipe hesperica Rambur, 1838 .

Diagnosis: Male genitalia: supra-anal plate elongated, acute angular, longer than wide, cercus simple, straight, slightly incurved (figs. IG, 2G); subgenital plate (figs. IH,2H) short, conical, wider than long; epiphallus (figs. IE, 2E) wide, moderately sclerotized, protruding and excised in middle of posterior margin and a few of character of small teeth, ancorae small and finger-shaped; aedeagus (figs. IF, 2F) with apical valve upcurved, narrower than basal valve. Female genitalia: supra-anal plate much elongated and narrowing apically, much longer than wide, cercus simple, short and broad (figs. lA, 2A); posterior margin of female subgenital plate wavy and serrated, without setae, straight in middle, egg-guide rudimentary or absent; Jannone's organs absent (figs. IB, 2B); spermatheca (figs. lC, 2C) with a single short, broad and curved diverticulum; ovipositor (figs. ID, 2D) shorter than lateral apodeme, ventral valve with external angular, lateral projection, mesial tooth absent.

The genus is represented by two species from Fezzan.
