Distribution: Neotropical, southeastern China and Japan.

Records in Mexico: Quintana Roo and Veracruz.

Biogeographic province: Yucatan Peninsula. Veracruzan.

Habitat: Leaf litter and soil of medium sub evergreen forest, lowland forest, mangrove and halophyte vegetation. Low flooded rainforest litter. Decaying trunks of Bursera simaruba and Spondias mombin .
