Plateremaeus sp. : Hammer (1969).
Records in Mexico: Puebla, Morelos, Guerrero and Campeche.
Biogeographic province: Balsas Basin. Yucatan Peninsula.
Habitat: Orchids and bromeliads. Leaf litter (of various species) and soil of the Tehuacan Valley. Moss. Soil and litter in a deciduous forest. Collected on epiphytes: Aechmea bracteata growing on Haematoxylum campechianum and Metopium brownei .
