Head brownish yellow. Frons as long as wide and parallel-sided, with two brownish black stripes extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle black; oc longer than anterior or, anterior or longer than 1/2 length of posterior or. Face yellowish brown, with a thin brown transverse stripe on ventral margin, parafacial yellowish brown with black inner margin; gena yellow, about 1/5 height of eye. Antenna brownish yellow, 1st flagellomere blackish brown except for yellow on basal 1/3, 1.4 times longer than high; arista black except for brownish base, ray short plumose, with longest ray as long as 1/2 height of 1st flagellomere. A blackish brown triangle spot present between base of antenna and eye. Proboscis and palpus brown.

Thorax yellow with grayish white pruinosity. Mesonotum with a wide grayish black medial stripe and two brown lateral stripes; 0+3 dc (1st post-sutural dc behind transverse suture), acr in 8 rows and prsc shorter than 1st post-sutural dc. Scutellum blackish brown except for yellow lateral margins, with grayish white pruinosity. Legs dark yellow except for femora blackish brown; femur with a ventroapical black spot and tibia with a black basal ring. Fore femur with 6 pv, 8 pd, and ctenidium with 13–14 short setae; fore tibia with 1 long preapical ad and 1 short apv. Mid femur with 6 a and 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad and 2 strong apv. Hind femur with 1 weak preapical ad; hind tibia with 1 strong preapical ad and 1 short apv. Wing ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 13 – 24 ) pale yellow with preapical spot on R2+3 confluent with a brown spot on R4+5 and brown cloud on dm-cu, apical spots on R4+5 and M1 confluent; basal part of R4+5 and basal 2/3 of CuA1 brown; an elliptic subbasal spot on R2+3 confluent with brown cloud on r-m and brown apical spot on Sc and R1; costa with 2nd (between R1 and R2+3), 3rd (between R2+3 and R4+5) and 4th (between R4+5 and M1) sections in proportion of 4:1.4:1; r-m at middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 1:1.2; ultimate section of CuA1 about 1/5 of penultimate. Halter pale yellow.

Abdomen dark yellow with grayish white pruinosity, male tergites 2–6 (female 2–7) with black posterior margin. Male genitalia ( Figs 244–248 View FIGURES 244 – 248 ): syntergosternite semicircular with three setulae around spiracle; epandrium broad, round apically in lateral view; surstylus with a small claviform inner process in lateral view; hypandrium nearly H-shaped with a triangle middle ventral segment; postgonite longer than aedeagus, coniform and curved forward in lateral view; aedeagus round apically with a pair of acute dorsal processes in lateral view; aedeagal apodeme shorter than aedeagus.

Type material. Holotype ♂ ( CAUC), CHINA, Zhejiang Province: Shunxi, Hengyuan, 22. VII. 2007, Yajun Zhu. Paratypes: 2 ♀ ( CAUC), CHINA, data same as holotype.

Distribution. China (Zhejiang).

Remarks. The new species is very similar to Homoneura (Homoneura) chishuiensis Gao & Yang from China (Guizhou, Hainan) in the following characters: mesonotum with a wide grayish black medial stripe and two brown lateral stripes; wing with large brown clouds; abdominal male tergites 2–6 (female 2–7) with black posterior margin, syntergosternite semicircular with setulae around spiracle and surstylus with a small claviform inner process in lateral view, but it can be separated the latter by the following characters: the brown cloud being on r-m with an acute tip; the hypandrial apodemes being far from each other; the aedeagus being round apically; the aedeagal apodeme shorter than the aedeagus. In chishuiensis , the brown cloud on r-m is round without the acute tip; the hypandrial apodemes are close to each other; the aedeagus is subuliform apically; the aedeagal apodeme is longer than the aedeagus. (Gao & Yang 2006).

Etymology. The species is named after the type locality Shunxi.
