Syntype male and female in ZMAN Lauxania quinquenotata Meijere, 1915: 137 [n. name for quinquepunctata Meijere, 1908 View in CoL ]. Type locality: Indonesia (Java). Homoneura (Homoneura) quinquenotata ( Meijere, 1915) : Malloch, 1929: 55. Shewell in Delfinado & Hardy, 1977: 207.

Diagnosis. Antennal 1st flagellomere black on apical 1/2; ray long plumose. Wing with 5 brown spots, including large preapical spot on R2+3, small preapical spot on R4+5, large elliptical preapical spot on M1, all above three preapical spots entirely isolated; brown cloud on r-m and a stripe-like spot on dm-cu.

Redescription. MALE. Body length 2.9–3.7 mm, wing length 3.0– 3.7 mm. FEMALE. Body length 3.5–3.8 mm, wing length 3.1–3.6 mm.

Head ( Fig. 207 View FIGURES 205 – 211 ) yellow. Frons about as long as wide and parallel-sided, with two pale brown stripes extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle brown; oc developed as long as anterior or, anterior or longer than 1/2 length of posterior or; gena about 1/4 height of eye. Antenna yellow except for 1st flagellomere black on apical 1/2, 1.8 times as long as wide; arista dark except for brownish base, ray long plumose,with longest ray 1.5 times as long as height of 1st flagellomere. Proboscis and palpus yellow.

Thorax ( Fig. 208 View FIGURES 205 – 211 ) brownish yellow. Mesonotum slightly shining, 0+3 dc (1st post-sutural dc behind transverse suture), acr in irregular 10 rows (occasionally 8 rows in a few of specimens) and prsc shorter than 1st post-sutural dc. Legs yellow, tarsi brown apically. Fore femur with 3 weak pv, 5–6 pd, and ctenidium with 10–11 short setae; fore tibia with 1 long preapical ad and 1 short apv. Mid femur with 6 a, 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad, 2 strong apv. Hind femur with 1 preapical ad and a row of weak av (only 3 apical setae distinct); hind tibia with 1 very weak preapical ad, hair-like and 1 short apv. Wing ( Fig. 211 View FIGURES 205 – 211 ) pale yellowish, with 5 brown spots; large round preapical spot on R2+3, small and obscure preapical spots on R4+5 and M1, all above three preapical spots entirely isolated; brown cloud on r-m and a stripe-like spot on dm-cu, subcostal cell hyaline; costa with 2nd (between R1 and R2+3), 3rd (between R2+3 and R4+5) and 4th (between R4+5 and M1) sections in proportion of 5.7:2:1; r-m at middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 1:1.4; ultimate section of CuA1 about 1/7 of penultimate. Halter pale yellow.

Abdomen ( Figs 209, 210 View FIGURES 205 – 211 ) brownish yellow. Male genitalia ( Figs 212–216 View FIGURES 212 – 216 ): syntergosternite circular with a ventral segment; epandrium wide at middle with a subapical concavity in lateral view; surstylus slender claviform, originated from tip of epandrium; hypandrium nearly U-shaped, pregonite absent, postgonite long subuliform with two setulae in ventral view; aedeagus with lateral sclerites acute apically and membranous section stretched out of apical margin of lateral sclerites in lateral view; aedeagal apodeme distinctly shorter than aedeagus.
