Diagnosis. Frons with a pair of brown stripes, extending to ocellar triangle. Antennal 1st flagellomere brown on apical 2/3. Mesonotum with 8 brown stripes and 0+3 dc, acr in irregular 6 rows. Wing with a brown costal transverse stripe terminated on basal 2/3 of R2+3, confluent with brown cloud on r-m and a small brown round spot on R4+5; a slender brown band on basal 1/6 of R4+5, brown apical spot on R2+3 confluent with a brown round spot on R4+5, two brown apical spots confluent on R4+5 and M1; brown clouds on r-m and m-cu; subcostal cell brown apically. Male tergites 3–6 (female 3–7) each with a black medial stripe-like spot and a pair of brown round ventrolateral spots.

Redescription. MALE. Body length 3.7–4.1 mm, wing length 3.6–4.0 mm. FEMALE. Body length 3.5–4.0 mm, wing length 3.5–4.0 mm.

Head ( Figs 273–274 View FIGURES 272 – 278 ) yellow. Frons as long as wide and parallel-sided, with a pair of brown stripes, extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle black; oc shorter than anterior or and anterior or longer than 1/2 of the posterior. Gena about 1/3 height of eye. Antenna yellow, 1st flagellomere yellow except for pale brown on apical 2/3, 2.0 times longer than high; arista black except for brownish base, ray short plumose, with longest ray as long as 1/2 height of 1st flagellomere. Proboscis and palpus yellow.

Thorax ( Figs 275, 276 View FIGURES 272 – 278 ) yellow with grayish white pruinosity. Mesonotum with 8 brown stripes (two medial stripes on arc rows, two stripes on dc rows, two post-sutural lateral stripes, two stripes on sa rows), 0+3 dc (1st post-sutural dc far from transverse suture), acr in irregular 6 rows and prsc as long as 1st post-sutural dc. Scutellum yellow, with a pair of wide brown stripes. Legs yellow. Fore femur with 3 pv, 8 pd, and ctenidium with 9 short setae; fore tibia with 1 long preapical ad and 1 short apv. Mid femur with 6 a (4 a in few individuals) and 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad, 2 strong apv. Hind femur with 1 weak preapical ad; hind tibia with 1 preapical ad and 1 short apv. Wing ( Fig. 278 View FIGURES 272 – 278 ) slightly yellow, with a brown costal transverse band terminated on basal 2/3 of R2+3, confluent with brown cloud on r-m and a small round brown spot on R4+5; a narrow band on basal 1/6 of R4+5, a brown apical spot on R2+3 confluent with a brown round spot on R4+5, two brown apical spots on R4+5 and M1 confluent; brown cloud on r-m and m-cu, constricted at middle; subcostal cell brown apically; costa with 2nd (between R1 and R2+3), 3rd (between R2+3 and R4+5) and 4th (between R4+5 and M1) sections in proportion of 4.5:1.7:1; r-m at middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 1:1.8; ultimate section of CuA1 about 1/7 of penultimate. Halter yellow, knob pale brown.

Abdomen ( Fig. 277 View FIGURES 272 – 278 ) yellow with sparse grayish white pruinosity, male tergites 3–6 (female 3–7) each with a black stripe-like medial spot. Male genitalia ( Figs 279–283 View FIGURES 279 – 283 ): syntergosternite semicircular; epandrium broad apically in lateral view; surstylus claviform with two tiny teeth and long setulae on ventral margin and tiny sawteeth apical margin; hypandrium H-shaped in ventral view; postgonite slightly curved with three apical teeth, an inner lateral tooth and 5–6 long setae; aedeagus consisting of a pair of hook-like apical processes and two pairs of dorsal processes in lateral view, and with a deep apical incision in ventral view; aedeagal apodeme shorter than aedeagus.
