Head yellow. Face entirely grayish brown or mostly grayish brown except for a dark yellow triangular spot, a narrow brown transverse band along ventral margin; parafacial yellow with black inner margin. Frons blackish brown except for yellow anterior margin and with grayish pruinosity, as long as wide and parallel-sided, a pair of black stripes extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle grayish black; oc slightly longer than anterior or and anterior or longer than 1/2 of posterior or. Gena about 1/4 height of eye. Antenna yellow except for 1st flagellomere brown on apical 1/2–2/3, 1.4 times longer than high; arista black except for brownish base, ray pubescent, with longest ray shorter than 1/3 height of 1st flagellomere. A black triangular spot present between base of antenna and eye. Proboscis and palpus yellow.

Thorax black with dense grayish pruinosity. Mesonotum with two brown medial stripes and two brown lateral stripes behind suture, postpronotum pale yellow and a brown irregular spot behind postpronotum; 0+3 dc (1st postsutural dc close to transverse suture), acr in 6 rows and prsc shorter than 1st post-sutural dc. Scutellum with yellow lateral margins, grayish pruinosity and a large brown elliptical medial spot. Legs mostly yellow except for fore and mid femora pale yellow, hind femur black except for yellow tip; all tarsomeres 3–5 brown. Fore femur with 3 pv, 5–6 pd, and ctenidium with 14 short setae; fore tibia with 1 long preapical ad and 1 short apv. Mid femur with 5 a and 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad and 2 strong apv. Hind femur with 1 weak preapical ad; hind tibia with 1 preapical ad and 1 short apv. Wing ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 13 – 24 ) hyaline, with preapical and subbasal spots on R2+3, and subbasal spot on R2+3 confluent with apical spot on R1 and brown cloud on r-m; two brown spots between r-m and irregular brown apical spot on R4+5, and a brown spot on R4+5 confluent with preapical spot on R2+3 and brown cloud on dmcu; crossed basal of R2+3 and R4+5 brown, a brown subapical spot on M1, two brown clouds on r-m and dm-cu confluent or separated; brown spot at tip of Sc and R1 confluent with broad brown cloud on r-m; costa with 2nd (between R1 and R2+3), 3rd (between R2+3 and R4+5) and 4th (between R4+5 and M1) sections in proportion of 3.6:1.4:1; r-m before middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 1:1.4; ultimate section of CuA1 about 1/11 of penultimate. Halter yellow.

Abdomen yellow with grayish pruinosity, male tergites 3–6 (female 3–7) each with a black rectangular medial stripe-like spot and a pair of brown triangular lateral spots. Male genitalia ( Figs 332–336 View FIGURES 332 – 336 ): syntergosternite semicircular with spiracle on membrane; epandrium broad with three pairs of long dorsal setae; surstylus wide with three acute apical processes in ventral view; hypandrium H-shaped; postgonite broad, acute apically; aedeagus consisting of a W-shaped ventral sclerite, a pair of triangular ventral sclerites and a pair of coniform dorsal sclerites, a pair of subuliform subapical processes on coniform dorsal sclerites in ventral view; aedeagal apodeme Y-shaped, shorter than aedeagus.

Type material. Holotype ♂ ( SYSU), CHINA, Zhejiang Province: Longquan, Fengyangshan National Nature Reserve, Huangmaojian, 1929 m, 27. VII. 2007, Yajun Zhu. Paratypes: CHINA, Zhejiang Province: 5 ♂, 2 ♀ ( SYSU), Longquan, Fengyangshan National Nature Reserve, Huangmaojian, 1929 m, 27–28. Distribution. China (Zhejiang).

Remarks. The new species is similar to Homoneura (Homoneura) fengyangshanica sp. nov. from China (Zhejiang) in the following characters: similar color and pattern of frons, face and mesonotum; wing with two brown spots between r-m and apical spot on R4+5, brown apical spots on R4+5 separated from spot on M1, brown clouds on r-m and dm-cu, brown spots at tip of Sc and R1 confluent with broad brown cloud on r-m; abdominal male tergites 3–6 (female 3–7) each with a black medial stripe-like spot and a pair of brown lateral spots. But it can be separated from the latter by the following characters: the hind femur being black except for yellow tip; the apical spot on R1 being confluent with the brown cloud on r-m; a brown spot on R4+5 being confluent with the brown cloud on dm-cu; the epandrium having three pairs of dorsal setae; the surstylus having three acute processes in ventral view. In H. (H.) fengyangshanica , the hind femur is brownish yellow; the apical spot on R1 is separated from the brown cloud on r-m; a brown spot on R4+5 is separated from the brown cloud on dm-cu; the epandrium has four pairs of dorsal setae and a tiny tooth on ventral margin; the surstylus is triangular in ventral view. The species is also similar to Homoneura (Homoneura) concava Sasakawa from China ( Taiwan), but the latter has the following characters: one of the brown spots between r-m and apical spot on R4+5 extending upward through R2+3 and the surstylus having a concavity in lateral view.

Etymology. The species is named after the type locality Zhejiang.
