Basionym: Graphis rufopallida Vainio, Ann. Acad. Sci. Fenn., Ser. A , 6 (7): 149 (2015).

Type:— GUADELOUPE. Ad corticem Homalii racemosi in Camp Jacob, P. Duss 527 (TUR-Vain. 27316!, lectotype, designated by Wirth & Hale 1978: 42) .

Thallus corticolous, off-white, continuous, smooth or slightly uneven, distinctly corticate, dull or partly glossy. Lirellae erumpent to prominent, with a thick lateral thalline margin, elongate, up to 4 mm long, curved or sinuous, usually simple or rarely branched, labia convergent, striate, yellowish or beige, disc narrowly opened, (balaghatensis- morph). Exciple not carbonized; hymenium clear; ascospores (2–) 4–6/ascus, hyaline, muriform, with 12–15 transverse and 2–6 longitudinal septa, 50–90 × 17–30 μm.

Chemistry: no lichen substances by TLC (M. Nakanishi on annotation label attached to the type).

Distribution and habitat:—A very rare species in Thailand, found only once in Chiang Mai (as Graphis glaucorufa ). It was not present in our material.

Remarks:—Reported from Dominica ( Vainio 1915 as Graphis vermicularis ; type locality), from Guadeloupe (type locality), from French Guiana ( Aptroot & Sparrius 2008 –present) and from Thailand (Vainio 1921, as G. glaucorufa ; type locality).
