Type:—AFRICA. East-Usambara: near Amani, on tree trunks, 800 m, B. Schröder 160, (W!).

Thallus corticolous, greenish white or lead gray, continuous, smooth, slightly uneven, corticate, glossy. Lirellae immersed to erumpent, often crowded, with a thick, apically complete thalline margin, short to elongate, up to 4 mm long, straight or curved, simple or scarcely branched, labia convergent, entire, disc concealed, not visible from above, ( subserpentina -morph). Exciple completely carbonized; hymenium clear; ascospores 8/ascus, hyaline, transversely 13–15-septate, 74–80 × 12–14 μm; 70–90 × 10–14 μm ( Lücking et al. 2009, holotype); 13–22-septate, 70–90 (–130) × 14–17 μm ( Joshi et al. 2013).

Chemistry: stictic acid (major), cryptostictic acid (submajor), constictic acid (minor), peristictic acid (major), hypostictic acid (minor), (anal. K. Kalb).

Distribution and habitat:—Palaeotropical, reported from Africa (type locality), Vietnam ( Joshi et al. 2013), and here from Thailand for the first time.

Remarks:—As usual, the spore size is variable within species having medium- to large-sized ascospores. Here, we present an extented chemistry of this species for the first time.

Material from Thailand examined:— Chiang Rai province: Mae Fa Luang district, tambon Mae Fa Luang, Mae Fa Luang Garden ( Queen’s village ), on bark of a fallen branch of an unidentified tree, 1380 m, 20°19’34’’ N, 99°50’04’’ E, 5 December 2016, J. & K.
