Type locality.

Monmouth Co., Deal, New Jersey, USA; stratum: uncertain; age: Miocene(?).

Type material.

Syntype, ANSP IP14431, 1 shell (as “type” in Richards 1968: 205).

Current taxonomic status.

Acteocina canaliculata (Say, 1826) ( Mikkelsen and Mikkelsen 1984 as A. wetherlli [sic]).
