République Argentine (Claraz). Unspecifed number of Ƌ and ♀ (colour variation mentioned) .

One Ƌ and one ♀ syntype. A Ƌ with labels: “ San José env. Claraz” [handwritten on white paper]; “Alcamenes clarazianus Sss. et Pict. ” [handwritten on green paper]; “Claraziana S. et P.” [handwritten on white paper]; “ Alcamenes clarazianus P. et S., Allotypus Ƌ, C S Carbonell - 1966” [handwritten by Carbonell on red card]. Specimen lacks about half of the right antenna and two tarsal segments of the left middle leg. A ♀ with labels: “ San José env. Claraz” [handwritten on white paper]; “Alcamenes clarazianus Sss. et Pict. ” [handwritten on green paper]; “ Alcamenes clarazianus P. et S., Holotypus ♀, C S Carbonell - 1966” [handwritten by Carbonell on red card]. The original description gives measurements for the ♀ only, which led Carbonell to regard it as the holotype (Carbonell pers. comm.) , but male characters are mentioned in the description and there is no type designation, therefore both specimens are syntypes.
