Generitype of Trollius Linnaeus.

Current name: Trollius europaeus L. ( Ranunculaceae ).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “europeus” in the protologue.

Jonsell & Jarvis (in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 96. 1993), with discussion in Nordic J. Bot. 14: 162 (1994), designated material in LINN as the lectotype, unaware of Siplivinsky’s earlier type choice based on the same material.
