Current name: Desmodium viridiflorum (L.) DC. ( Fabaceae : Faboideae ).

Note: Although Britton (in Bull. Torrey Bot. Club 21: 114. 1894) regarded Clayton 190 (BM) as "the specimen … on which Linnaeus founded the species", this is not accepted as equivalent to the use of “type”.
