Notes.

Voeltzkow (1923, p. 179) recorded this species from Pemba as "Vaginula brevis" Vaginula brevis Fischer, 1872 is considered a synonym of the widespread Laevicaulis alte ( Forcart 1953, Verdcourt 2006). We tentatively refer two small juveniles from Ngezi FR to this species.
