STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang, based on specimens collected by W.-J. Chen in Madang Bay. AMS, CASAbout CAS, NTUM and WAMAbout WAM material ( AMS I. 17505 -003, I. 24548 -003; CASAbout CAS 65654View Materials, 65655, 65656, 65657, 65658, 65659, 65660; NTUM 10013; WAMAbout WAM P. 30624 -010).

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Red Sea, East and South Africa, Madagascar and Mascarenes east to Hawaiian Islands and Pitcairn Group, north to southern Japan and Ogasawara Islands, south to Rowley Shoals (Western Australia) at 17 ° 56 'S and Lord Howe Island. Found in shallow lagoon and seaward reefs and on the shelf and upper slope, 0– 650 m. Marine.

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Philippines north to Taiwan, south to Papua  New Guinea. Bathydemersal, 880 m. Marine.

Glyptophidium lucidum Smith & Radcliffe  in Radcliffe, 1913 —Sculptured cusk

STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang and New Guinea, based on specimens collected by W.-J. Chen, St. CP 3961. NTUM material ( NTUM 10051, 10052, 10079, 10128).

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Indonesia east to Philippines and Papua  New Guinea, north to Taiwan, south to northwestern Australia. Bathydemersal, 395– 685 m. Marine.

Hoplobrotula armata (Temminck & Schlegel, 1846)  —Armoured cusk STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang, based on specimens collected by W.-J. Chen. NTUM material ( NTUM 10190).

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Vietnam to southern Japan; Papua  New Guinea to northern Australia. Bathydemersal, 200– 350 m. Marine.

Luciobrotula bartschi Smith & Radcliffe  in Radcliffe, 1913 —Dusky cusk eel STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang, based on a specimen collected by W.-J. Chen, St. CP 3963. NTUM material ( NTUM 10054).

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Gulf of Aden and South Africa east to Hawaiian Islands, north to southern Japan. Benthopelagic, 445–1185 m. Marine.

STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang and New Guinea, based on a specimen collected by W.-J. Chen, St. CP 3968. NTUM material ( NTUM 10059).

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Andaman Sea east to Philippines and Papua  New Guinea, south to northwestern Australia. Bathydemersal, 350– 505 m. Marine.

STATUS AT MADANG. New record from Madang, based on a specimen collected by W.-J. Chen, St. CP 3963. NTUM material ( NTUM 10041).

DISTRIBUTION AND HABITAT. Apparently endemic to Papua  New Guinea. Bathydemersal, 2560 m. Marine.
