Distribution in Iran. Mazandaran ( Samin et al. 2011).

General distribution. Europe, Israel, Turkey.

Biology. This species breeds only in Ulmus (Ulmaceae) . The biology and seasonal history is described by Beaver (1967a), and Zanta and Battisti (2011). Like P. kraatzii , it plays a minor role in the transmission of Dutch elm disease ( Şengonca & Leisse 1984).
