Specimens measured. AM (6).
Dorsal shield of female smooth, 352 (319–405) long and 216 (200–235) wide. Setal lengths: j1 31 (29–34), j3 37 (35–38), j4 6 (5–7), j5 5 (4–6), j6 8 (6–9), J2 8 (8–9), J5 8 (7–9), z2 7 (7–8), z4 7 (6–9), z5 5 (5–6), Z1 9 (8–11), Z4 63 (59–68), Z5 182 (155–208), s4 60 (57–63), S2 11 (9–12), S4 9 (8–10), S5 8 (7–9), r3 17 (16–18) and R1 10 (9–11). Peritreme extending to level of j1. Distances between st1–st3 60 (58–65), st2–st2 68 (67–69), st5–st5 67 (66–73). Ventral shield 44 (41–48) long and 64 (60–70) wide; anal shield 43 (39–50) long and 64 (63–65) wide. Spermathecal calyx tubular, 19 (17–21) long; atrium inconspicuous. Fixed cheliceral digit 27 (21–32) long, with 10–11 teeth; movable digit 32 (31–34) long, with three teeth. Macrosetae of legs I–IV, sharp-tipped; SgeI 42 (38–45), SgeII 41 (40–42), SgeIII 45 (41–50), SgeIV 74 (72–78), StiIII 36 (34–38), StiIV 54 (52–57) and StIV 67 (65–70). Distribution in Brazil. Amapá ( Souza et al., 2013), Amazonas ( Bobot et al., 2011; Cruz et al., 2015, 2019; Nuvoloni et al., 2015b), Bahia ( Nuvoloni et al., 2015a; Souza et al., 2015; Argolo et al., 2017) and Pernambuco (Gondim Jr. & Moraes, 2001; Vasconcelos et al., 2006).
Distribution elsewhere. Costa Rica, Honduras and Peru.
Remark. The measurements of the specimens examined are similar to those of Denmark & Muma (1989).
