Specimens measured. BA, CE, MG, PE, SP (2, 1, 1, 3, 2).

Dorsal shield of female mostly smooth, with lateral striae, 330 (310–357) long and 201 (175–230) wide. Setal lengths: j1 23 (20–25), j3 39 (32–45), j4 47 (40–56), j5 63 (56–77), j6 148 (125–200), J5 6 (5–7), z2 11 (8–15), z4 52 (42–62), z5 8 (5–10), Z1 104 (87–125), Z4 125 (117–137), Z5 115 (105–123), s4 161 (140–180), S5 27 (17–32), r3 21 (20–37) and R1 20 (12–25). Peritreme extending to level between j3 and z2. Distances between st1–st3 69 (62– 77), st2–st2 77 (70–80), st5–st5 81 (72–87). Ventrianal shield 93 (77–112) long and 65 (60–77) wide at level of Jv2 and 67 (65–75) at anus level; in some specimens, both Jv2 setae or one of them inserted off the shield. Spermathecal calyx funnel-shaped, inflate near atrium, 34 (27–42) long; atrium nodular. Fixed cheliceral digit 24 (22–25) long, with nine teeth; movable digit 25 (23–26) long, with three teeth. Macrosetae only on leg IV, sharp-tipped, SgeIV and StIV serrated; SgeIV 80 (65–92), StiIV 37 (30–45), StIV 100 (90–125) .

Remark. The measurements are similar to those of the redescription of P. macropilis by Takahashi & Chant (1993a).
