Holotype: MUDE CEP1823 , poorly preserved skull, lacking snout, and postcranium.

Type locality: Sierra de Buñuelas, near Gomez Farías, State of Coahuila, Mexico (La Caja Formation).

Etymology: ‘Ring lizard from the county of Saltillo’.

Geological range: Lower Tithonian.

Geographical range: State of Coahuila, Mexico.
