Material examined. 7 specimens: 1 ♂, 6 ♀.

Diagnosis. Body length 12–13 mm; integument reddish black; antennae, elytra, pygidium, femora, tibiae reddish yellow; head, pronotum, and tarsi black; tarsi without rings of white setae; dorsally glabrous (pronotum with sparse setae near borders of disc) (Fig. 55); parameres rounded, width uniform, distal half bent mesally, apices triangular, with sharp tip in lateral view (Figs. 78–79); female with vestiture and color similar to male; genital plates (Fig. 80).

Natural history. This species inhabits tropical and cloud forests ranging from 700 to 1,200 m (additional information in Arce-Pérez & Morón 2010, 2011).

Geographical distribution. Guatemala ( Guatemala, Huehuetenango) and Mexico (Chiapas) (Fig. 87).
