Treatment

The only previous Algerian record of U. faurei was based on a series of pupae and adults from the Tafna Mountains in the northwestern region ( Gagneur & Clergue-Gazeau 1988). Our data from the Seybouse Basin confirm that U. faurei is univoltine. Its immature stages inhabited a temporary brook up to 3 m wide at 852 m above sea level (asl), with a boulder substrate, clean water, and low current velocity (0.3 m /s).
