Holotype: ♂: Hawaii. Molokai , Ona Alii Park, nr. Kanakaka, 5.I.1983, V. & B. Roth ( BPBM).

Paratypes: 3 Ψ, together with holotype ( BPBM).

Diagnosis: The male of this species is readily recognized by the shape of the retrolateral tibial apophysis with a slightly curved upwards and rounded tip.

Etymology: The species name is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.

Description: Male (holotype): Total length 1.92; carapace 1.02 long, 0.67 wide.

Colour: Prosoma and legs pale yellow; carapace darkened in eye region. Opisthosoma pale cream except dorsum which is dark sepia. Eyes: ALE 0.11; other eyes 0.05.

Palp ( Figs. 14–15 View FIGURES 14 – 17 ): large RTA; dorsal prong of RTA sinuous, almost reaching tip of cymbium, smoothly rounded; embolus short and slightly sinuous. MA with basal excrescence and bifid tip.

Female (3 paratypes): total length 2.75–3.36; carapace 1.18–1.44 long, 0.83–086 wide.

Colour: As in male. Eyes: ALE: 0.11; other eyes: 0.05.

Epigyne ( Figs. 16–17 View FIGURES 14 – 17 ): Hardly sclerotized; with small central depression; spermathecae far apart, ovoid.

Distribution: Only known from type locality.
