14. Platyonyx macrocheles Stimpson Carolina 1 Current name. – Polyonyx gibbesi Haig, 1956 , a replacement name for the preoccupied Porcellana macrocheles Gibbes, 1850 , which was transferred to Polyonyx by Stimpson (1858d: 229).
