NOTES: Lister (1899: 147), commented “ Mr. Cran has obligingly set me specimens of Mycetozoa from Antigua, which have been collected and transmitted to him since he left the island, by Mr. Forrest. They are species already obtained by Mr. Cran, with the exception of one which appears to have been not hitherto described.”, noting the substrate “On dead leaves”. In BM we located two boxes with material from Antigua, one is labelled “Cran collection” ( BM s.n.) and is collected by Forrest with reference to notebook XVII: 96[–98], where we found notes and illustrations which are reproduced in part in the original publication of the species, (Pl. 398, fig. 1a), so we consider this to be the lectotype. There are also two slides of this sample with reference to the same notebook page. The second box ( BM 1940 ) is in worse condition, the label has the same data and a reference to the publication so it appears to be a duplicate and we consider it to be an isolectotype. There is a slide of this collection (L:B.M.33B) .
