Pap[ilio] Dan[aus] Cand[idus] belia Stoll, 1782a: 225 , 248, pl.397, figs A, B [original plate 364, figs B, B] (junior homonym of Papilio belia Linnaeus, 1767 [ Pieridae ]). Smyrne [= Turkey]; ‘Côte de Barbarie’; France, Provence and Languedoc (loaned from Cornelis van Lennep).

Material examined. No potential Stoll specimens located.

Current status. Invalid senior subjective synonym of Euchloe simplonia Freyer, 1829 ( Higgins & Riley, 1983).
