Pap[ilio] Eq[ues] Troj[anus] achates, Cramer, 1777: 130, 147, pl.182, figs A, B [original plate 160, figs A, A]. China, but found equally on the island of Java and on the Coromandel coast [= south-eastern India].

Material examined. No potential Cramer specimens located.

Identity. Original fig 160, A, B is Papilio (Menelaides) memnon agenor Linnaeus, 1758 . Original fig. 213, A is Papilio m. memnon Linnaeus.
