Notes:— When published ( Fan et al. 2016), this species was supported by two specimens collected in China, but only one specimen (BJTC FAN124) successfully generated DNA data. In this study, five additional collections became available, implying this species might be not uncommon in southwest region of China. In morphology, the small sized, grey-white or white-yellow-brown ascomata with grey tints, brown gleba at maturity and regular globose ascospores with reticulate ornamentation might be diagnostic for this species according to the present collections.
Known distribution:— Only known from China.
