Type locality.

Greece (holotype from Athen; allotype from Corinth; paratype localities not listed).

Paratypes 2 ♂♂ and 1 ♀.

Remarks.

Current status.

Chrysura purpureifrons ssp. helleniensis (Linsenmaier, 1968) (transferred by Kimsey and Bohart 1991: 494).
