The holotypes of Paracolletes semilautus and Paracolletes stewarti , which are male, are the same as those males associated with Lamprocolletes obscurus by morphological similarity and coincident collection data. The holotypes of

Lamprocolletes obscurus and Paracolletes hobartensis , are female, and show no significant morphological differences. Types Lamprocolletes obscurus — Tasmania: holotype ♀, Van Diemensland (BMNH 17a.499). Paracolletes semilautus — holotype ♂, Australia (BMNH 17a.420) Paracolletes hobartensis — Tasmania: holotype ♀, Hobart (BMNH 17a.446) Paracolletes stewarti — Victoria: holotype ♂, Mt Buffalo, 6.ii.1949 (ANIC); paratype, 1♀, same data as holotype.
