Genus Sipyloidea Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893

Type-species. Necroscia sipylus Westwood, 1859: 138 , by original designation.

Description. Medium-sized. Mainly green or brown. Body cylindrical. Head oblong. Mesonotum slender and elongate, usually granulated. Abdomen smooth. Seventh sternum rarely with praeopercular organ in female. Female subgenital plate scoop-shaped, tapering posteriorly, posterior margin pointed. Male poculum small, cupshaped. Anal segment with rounded posterior margin. Supra-anal plate indistinct. Cerci long and cylindrical, straight or curved inwards. Legs unarmed and slender. Tegmina small and oval. Alae long, anal region uniformly coloured or with coloured markings. Egg capsule oval. Micropylar plate oval.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Gansu, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Hainan, Hunan, Sichuan, Xizang, Yunnan, Zhejiang and Hong Kong), Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Réunion, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

Notes. One of the specious genera of Chinese Necrosciinae and currently nine species are known ( Chen & He, 2008; Hennemann et al., 2008a; Ho, 2016a). The male of S. tuberculata sp. nov. is unknown and the key to the Chinese species is only given to females.

Zhejiang and Hong Kong), Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Thailand, Laos, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Réunion and

Madagascar.
