Genus Micadina Redtenbacher, 1908

Type-species. Marmessoidea phluctaenoides, Rehn, 1904: 73 , by subsequent designation of Shiraki, 1935: 71.

Description. Small to medium-sized. Green species. Body cylindrical. Head smooth and oval. Mesonotum usually densely granulated. Abdomen smooth. Seventh sternum rarely with praeopercular organ in female. Female subgenital plate short, scoop-shaped, gonapophyses exposed. Male poculum cup-shaped. Anal segment with small emargination on posterior margin. Supra-anal plate usually distinct in female. Cerci long and cylindrical, straight in female, curved inwards or straight in male, apices usually rounded in both sexes, rarely bifurcated or broadened posteriorly in male. Legs unarmed and slender. Tegmina small and oval. Alae short, anal region pale white in female, rose in male. Egg capsule bucket-shaped, webbed. Micropylar plate oblong.

Distribution. China (Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Chongqing, Hong Kong and Shanghai), Japan, Korea and Vietnam.

Notes. Currently 15 species are recognised from this Palearctic and Oriental genus and all of them are known from China ( Chen & He, 2008; Hennemann et al., 2008a; Ichikawa & Okada, 2008; Ho, 2012a & 2013b; Ichikawa, 2014).

Distribution. China (Henan, Hubei, Shaanxi and Chongqing) and Japan.
