Parafurius Carvalho & China, 1951: 692 View in CoL (original description). Type species: Eccritotarsus discifer Stål, 1860: 57 View in CoL . Original designation.
Diagnosis. Body yellow, red or orange with white, sometimes with brown to black spots. Pronotum punctate. Hemelytron with anterior margins strongly convex, giving the body an oval appearance in dorsal view. Body less than 5.00 mm. ( Carvalho & China 1951; Maldonado Capriles 1969; Ferreira & Henry 2011).
