Remarks.

During the systematic revision of the Coniacian and Santonian corals of the Gosau Group, the genus Aulosmilia was profoundly investigated ( Löser et al. 2019) and much Upper Cretaceous coral type material was studied. The present material can now clearly be assigned to Aulosmilia inconstans .

Other occurrences.

Upper Cenomanian to Santonian of the Western Tethys (France), Coniacian to Santonian of the Central Tethys (Austria), Santonian to middle Campanian of the Western Tethys (Spain, France).
